Dear Aunty,
I have or should i say had a BFF. We have been friend since we were 13 years old and since then we haven't stopped contacting each other. There were times when we don't contact each other for a very long time but i know that we realised, deep down in our heart, we still remember each other, miss each other. During holiday, it's a MUST that we meet each other, spend some time to catch up and update each other. I miss that moment so much. Recently, she announced that she's going to get engaged and get married in couple of coming months. It was a real quick decision she made but that's not the problem. It is her destiny. At that moment, i felt really awkward as my BFF will move on to the next stage of life which is marriage life. I think that i am going to loose a good friend. But I am glad and very happy for her.
After she called me to spill the news, i thought that it was an invitation for me to her engagement event. But not. She said it was a very humble event and only family members will attend it. I was so shocked to hear that. I am her bestfriend if she still remember that.
So, on her day, i waited for her to contact me and tell me where's the place the ceremony will happen and what time. But no news at all. na da.
I was very upset. If it was me i would love to share that moment with the ones that i love including my besties. For her case, i know that I am the only bestie who live around that place.
I am hurt. Deeply hurt by her action. Then, a few days ago she texted me "I will get married on the 3 of Dec. If God will." My reaction after reading her text is " hah. Why do you care to tell me" I did reply with 2 words only "Ok. Congrats."
My plan for her wedding is i will go if she invites me and as only a guest. Not a bestfriend. I am hurt and still hurt. I know, if it was me, i will surely want her to be by my side, even for my engagement ceremony. Do i do correct thing aunty?
