The Long Journey.

11th Jan 2009- sunday

Departed from home headed to Kuala Lumpur. with ayah and ayah's driver. kesian ayah, he got blocking nose because of the long journey. it's due to the car's air-conditioned. furthermore, ayah just got back from Mekah the previous friday. he's still weak and jet-lagged. because of me, he offered himself to go and send me off to Sepang even my brother wanted to go at first. mak memang dah x larat. she got a real bad fever after got back from Mekah. perhaps due to the weather conditions.

arrived at Empress Hotel Sepang at 2.45pm. checked in. and ayah decided to straightly go back to Besut. he's really tired i think.

i was very emotional that evening. i cried in ayah's arms. i now i shouldn't do that. it's very shocking for him to know that i got posted to sabah, and then i put more pressure on him. haih- not a good daugther i am.

the taklimat continued smoothly till monday (12th jan 2009) night, when we finally got to know the district and the school of where we are posted to.

i got posted to SMT TAWAU, SABAH.

i don't know what to expect this time. but im thankful to God cause they sent me there with another teacher. an Ustazah who is kebetulannya comes from Besut as well. i introduce her as J. so this is where a journey of two people who just knew each other started.

13th Jan 2009- tuesday

Flite MH 2664: KLIA - TAWAU/ 1420 - 1710. it's a 2 hrs and 50 mins flight to a place which i can't imagine on how it's going to be like.

this was the second journey that makes me feel like this after the NZ study trip. like a stranger going nowhere. going to a place which is very new to me.

arrived at about 5.15 pm at tawau airport. a male teacher from SMTT picked us up at the airport with his wife who is also a teacher in SMTT. :) they brought us to a house in Taman Fortuna. 1 SMTT female teacher lives here with another teacher who teaches at Convent school.

we thought that this might be a temporary place for us to stay before we find another house to rent. but, we've changed our mind and for now we decided to stay in this house; maybe forever.

14th Jan 2009- wednesday

lapor diri to the PK1, since the Puan pengetua was not in. and i was told that SMTT is a cluster school (wow!). SMTT is a school that offers the most (paling banyak) technical and vocational courses among the SMTs in Malaysia. and indeed, it is an excellent school. why? because:

1)the school is in a very high level of condition; the field, the gate area, the school compound, the bengkels, the labs, the comp labs, the classes condition, the canteen (marV food), and esp the toilet. it's even cleaner than the toilet in your house maybe.

2) you need to sign in and out when you enter the toilet. haaa... :)

3) free wireless net in most of the places in the school area.

4) the school situated half on the ground, the other half is on the air. haha. kidding. the other half situated di atas bukit. including the dewan utama and the canteen. the teachers here travel to the canteen using their car. it's not far but it's quite tiring for you to climb up the stairs and once to arrive back at the staffroom you'll be hungry again. ha ha. but. this environment reminds me of Wellington and IPBA. ahha.

5) the teachers are all muda-mudi. :). no veteran teachers hokkay.

6) the environment is very serene, tranquil + the teachers are helpful and comfortable to be with. i really love the environment in the staffroom. owh, forgot to tell you that it was a BIG school with 144 teachers and 1000 ++ students. but recently, we only have 500++ ss, since the F.4 haven't registered yet.

7) jarang nak jumpa dinding yang tidak diconteng. oops, don't think negative. dinding 2 sekolah ditulis dengan pelbagai kata2 motivasi, petikan ucapan dan kata2 penenang hati. look at this:

8) it's compulsory for all the boys to have a standard hair length which is no. 1. if they disobey this rules, they will need to move school. it's a very nice view to see the ss with this kind of hair. x serabut mata. and everywhere, you can see 'mawi'. :p

i think that's all for now. i will add the list when i encountered something else.

based on the things i've said above, i think you can guess that i'm enjoying my time in Tawau right now. jack pot. yes i am. i love the school, the teachers, the house that i'm staying now, the housemates, the small in a big town, and the most important thing is the comfy feeling that i feel everyday, every second i'm here in tawau.

my parent are also thankful with what i got right now. they are not worried anymore. ALHAMDULILLAH.

i haven't received my timetable yet. maybe nx week. up till now, i'm still enjoying my free time knowing the school and the teachers. this week, we have EXCEL exam for the ss. so, all the teachers are in, and enjoying the temporary free time before the real battle started. perhaps after 23rd feb 2009, when the f.4 ss will start registering. and basically, i will get rest till end of feb, since i'll be teaching F.4. and they still not here yet. :)


p/s: i heard that i'm appointed as the setiausaha for badan disiplin sekolah. do i look that garang?
